Matt has farmed both commercial beef and sheep for many years and has previously worked in contract shepherding across Derbyshire and surrounding areas.
Alongside running the flock, he has also worked as a slaughterman at T.G. Sergeants for the past three years.
He is a proud father of four — Edward, Alice, Alfie, and his youngest, Ronnie, whom he shares with Becky.

Becky has been a professional dog groomer for over 14 years, running a successful grooming salon from Park Hills Farm.
Her lifelong passion for animals and understanding of canine behaviour naturally evolved into breeding and training exceptional working sheepdogs.
Together with Matt, she raises their son Ronnie while managing the breeding programme and training working dogs.
Originally a rented holding, the opportunity arose to purchase the farm — a chance they seized wholeheartedly. Since then, they have continued to run and develop it into the thriving, family-based enterprise it is today.
Together, Becky and Matt manage a flock of pedigree and commercial MV-accredited sheep, alongside a talented team of working Border Collies bred and trained on the farm.

Martini Livestock & Sheepdogs is a family-run farming and breeding enterprise based at Park Hills Farm, Weston Underwood, Derbyshire. The business is run by Becky Dykes in conjunction with Park Hills Kennels, owned by her fiancé Matt Tomlinson.
Becky and Matt have been together since 2019, and Becky moved to Park Hills Farm in 2022. They welcomed their son, Ronnie Tomlinson, on 28th March 2024.
As many of you will know, both Becky and Matt share a deep joy for agriculture, and they are proud to be first-generation farmers. Their journey has been built on hard work, passion, and a shared dedication to livestock and working dogs.
